How we price a 3D print
Every job is quoted on print time plus material weight. There is no fixed price per object, because two parts the same size can use very different amounts of time and material.

Batch runs
Runs of 10 or more identical parts are discounted, and the discount grows with the total print time of the run. Send the quantity with your file and we quote the whole run.
Material setup fees
Some materials need extra handling before they print. The setup fee is one-off, per job, not per part. Help choosing: see the materials guide and engineering materials.

Materials other than PLA, PLA+ and PETG are billed on material weight, which costs more per gram. Engineering-material jobs also take longer, because the filament is dried and conditioned and some is ordered in. We give you a timeline with the quote.
Large-format printing prices
Parts up to 800 × 800 × 1000 mm in one piece print on our large-format printer.

- $90 large-format setup per job: levelling a four-zone bed, adhesion and handling metre-scale parts

Design and scanning prices

Why do you price on print time instead of per object?
Because two parts the same size can use very different amounts of time and material. A hollow display piece and a solid bracket can fit in the same hand and take very different times to print. Pricing on print time and material weight means you pay for the work your part takes.
Do your prices include GST?
Yes. Every price on this page includes GST.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes, $50 including GST on the standard printers. If your part comes in under it, we can print a second copy so you get the full value. Large-format jobs have a $150 minimum.
Do engineering materials cost more?
Yes. They are billed on material weight, which costs more per gram than PLA or PETG, and each carries a one-off setup fee. They also take longer, because the filament is dried and conditioned and some is ordered in. We give you a timeline with the quote.

When do I pay?
Printing starts once the invoice is paid, by bank transfer, or cash on pickup for small jobs. Deposits vary per project and are confirmed in the quote. Design work is paid upfront.
