PLA
Easy to print, eco-friendly, and excellent for detailed, low-warp prints. It has low heat and impact resistance, making it unsuitable for functional or outdoor parts. Ideal for beginners and decorative projects.
PLA+
Stronger, more durable, and less brittle than standard PLA, with improved flexibility. It offers better layer adhesion and impact resistance. However, it is slightly more expensive and requires higher printing temperatures.
PET-G
Tough, flexible, and moisture-resistant, making it ideal for functional and outdoor parts. It has good heat resistance and minimal warping. However, it can string during printing and requires careful cooling settings.
ASA
Highly UV-resistant and weatherproof, making it perfect for outdoor applications. It has good strength and durability, similar to ABS. Printing can be tricky as it needs a heated enclosure to prevent warping and cracking.
ABS
Strong, durable, and heat-resistant, often used for functional parts and prototypes. It is prone to warping and shrinking, requiring a heated bed and controlled environment. Emitting fumes during printing makes good ventilation necessary.
TPU
Flexible, elastic, and highly durable, great for parts needing flexibility like phone cases or seals. It is resistant to wear, abrasion, and chemicals. Printing can be challenging due to slow speeds and potential extruder clogs.
