3D Printing Prices in Brisbane: What Your Print Will Cost

It depends on how long your part takes to print and how much material it uses, so there is no single price per object. As a guide, in PLA or PETG, a part under 3 hours is $50, 3 to 6 hours is $50 to $90, and 6 to 10 hours is $90 to $155 including GST. Anything larger is quoted on print time and material. Because two parts the same size can take very different amounts of time and material. A hollow display piece and a dense functional bracket might both fit in your hand, but one can take three times as long to print. Pricing on print time means you are charged for the work your model actually takes, and it is the same calculation every time.

Yes, $50 including GST on our standard printers. Setting up and running a print costs about the same whether the part is tiny or not, which is what the minimum covers. If your part comes in under it, we are happy to print a second copy so you get the full value. Jobs on the large-format printer have a $150 minimum and a $90 setup, because a metre-scale bed takes real work to level and prepare.

PLA is the default for display pieces, prototypes and general parts, and it prints at the guide prices. PETG is tougher and handles outdoor use and moisture. ASA is the choice for parts that live in the sun. TPU is flexible. Carbon-fibre, glass-fibre and nylon-CF are for engineering parts that need stiffness and heat resistance. Tell us what the part has to do and we will recommend one.

Most jobs are ready within a few business days, depending on print time and our current queue. Large or multi-part projects take longer, and we will give you a timeframe with your quote. If you have a deadline, tell us up front and we will confirm whether we can meet it before you commit.

Yes. Runs of 10 or more identical parts are discounted, and the discount grows with the total print time of the run. If you are planning a production batch, send the quantity with your file and we will quote the whole run.

Yes. 3D modelling and CAD is $80 per hour and 3D scanning starts from $250. Design is quoted before any printing: we agree the modelling work first, then quote the print once the model is finalised, so you are never committed to both at once.

Pickup from our Taringa workshop is free. Shipping Australia-wide is $15 for a small parcel, $20 medium and $25 large, with oversize items and freight quoted at cost.
