Every job is quoted on print time and material weight, from a $50 minimum including GST. Below are straight answers on pricing, files, materials, turnaround, finishing and working with us.
Pricing
How do you price a job?
On print time plus material weight, with an itemised quote: print time, material, setup, options and shipping. Design time is added when we model or repair a file. $50 minimum including GST.
Do you have a price list?
Yes, on our 3D printing prices page. A PLA or PETG print typically costs $50 under 3 hours, $50–90 for 3–6 hours and $90–155 for 6–10 hours, including GST. Your file still gets its own quote before we start.
Do your prices include GST?
Yes. Every price we publish includes GST.
Do you offer a student discount?
Yes, 10% off your print. Mention your school, TAFE or uni when you send the files.
Is there a setup fee?
Only for materials that need extra handling, once per job, not per part. None for PLA, PLA+ or PETG; $15 for ABS, TPU, PC and PC FR; $30 for ASA; $90 for carbon-fibre and glass-fibre blends and PLA Aero. See material setup fees.
Do you discount batches?
Yes. Runs of 10 or more identical parts are discounted, and the discount grows with the total print time of the run.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer, or cash on pickup for small jobs. Printing starts once the invoice is paid. Deposits vary per project and are confirmed in the quote. Design work is paid upfront.
Files
What file types do you accept?
STL, 3MF and STEP. STEP is best for engineering parts. We can also review OBJ files.
My file is too big to email.
Share a drive link instead, in your email or with the quote form.
I don't have a file.
Send photos, sketches, measurements or the physical part; our modellers build the file and it's quoted as design time.
Can you design or scan a part for me?
Yes. 3D modelling and CAD is $80 per hour, 3D scanning starts from $250 and scan processing is $80 per hour. Design is quoted before any printing, and the print is quoted once the model is final. See CAD design and 3D modelling.
Can you fix a broken mesh?
Usually. Small repairs are included; larger rework is quoted.

Materials and quality
Which material should I choose?
Depends on what the part must survive. See materials, or tell us the job.
Do you print engineering materials?
Yes, on our Bambu Lab H2C and H2D: polycarbonate (PC), flame-retardant PC (PC FR), carbon-fibre blends (PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PC-CF, ASA-CF), PA6-GF, PA6-CF, PAHT-CF and PLA Aero. See engineering materials.
How big can you print?
Every material we print can be made up to about 350 × 320 × 325 mm in one piece on the standard printers. PLA, PLA+ and PETG also go up to 800 × 800 × 1000 mm on the large-format printer. Anything bigger is split into sections with designed connectors.
What tolerance can I expect?
Typically ±0.2 mm on our Bambu Lab machines, and ±0.5 mm or ±0.5% of the dimension (whichever is greater) on the large-format machine with its 0.8 mm nozzle. Tell us the critical fits and we compensate.
Do you print resin?
No.
Do you print metal?
No.
Turnaround and delivery
How long will it take?
Depends on print time and queue. The quote states it. Large or humidity-sensitive prints take longer in wet weather.
How long do engineering-material jobs take?
Longer than PLA or PETG jobs, because the filament is dried and conditioned and some is ordered in. We give you a timeline with the quote.
Can I pick up?
Yes, free, from Taringa, by appointment.
Do you ship?
Yes, Australia-wide: small parcel $15, medium $20, large $25. Oversize and freight are quoted at cost.
Finishing
Can you print in more than one colour?
Yes; multi-colour printing on our multi-material machines, no painting needed for colour changes. Up to 4 colours, +$15 per colour after the first.
Do you paint or finish parts?
We offer light sanding ($60 per hour) and clear-coat finishing on display pieces. We don't paint or colour-match to a printed colour reference.
Working with us
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, for business clients, after we've reviewed it.
Who owns the CAD file you make?
You do. We keep a copy for 12 months for reorders, then delete it.
Can I visit?
By appointment; book a time and we'll walk you through the workshop.
